Angel Brown’s journey into integrative healing began after a fulfilling career as a Special Education teacher and coach in Nashville, Tennessee. A native of Memphis, she spent many years in sales before transitioning into education. During her teaching career, she and her wife, Dawn, dedicated their summers to working at Camp Discovery in Tennessee, offering therapeutic recreation to children and adults with disabilities.

In 2020, Angel and Dawn made a life-changing move from Nashville to Florida—just as the world was shifting during the onset of the pandemic. It was a move she describes as divine timing. It was here that Angel deepened her personal wellness journey, beginning private yoga lessons in the Ashtanga tradition and eventually exploring a range of yoga styles. In April 2023, she completed her certification as a yoga and meditation teacher.

Angel’s path into yoga was not typical. She came to the practice as an overweight, overworked, and stressed-out public educator. Her personal transformation stands as a testament to the healing power of yoga and mindfulness. Having once felt out of place in traditional yoga spaces, Angel is now a passionate advocate for body acceptance and inclusivity. Her classes are designed to foster self-love, reduce judgment, and create a welcoming environment for all body types and abilities. “Yoga is for every body,” she says—and she lives by that belief.

While pursuing her yoga teacher training, Angel began studying Reiki. She completed Level I of the Usui Reiki healing system in 2022 and Level II in 2024. She actively participates in local Reiki Shares and offers in-home Reiki sessions to clients in the community.

In 2025, Angel became a certified Human Design reader through the Mind-Body Human Design School. She discovered this powerful system through her trauma-informed, feminine-based yoga training. She is passionate about using Human Design in conjunction with yoga to help individuals—especially women in midlife—rediscover their inner blueprint and answer the profound question: Is this all there is?

Today, Angel lives in St. Joe Beach, Florida, with her wife of 20 years, Dawn, their two beloved dogs, Lucy and Rosie, and a handful of backyard squirrels and birds she lovingly feeds (many of whom have names). When she's not guiding clients through their healing journeys, you can find her gardening, reading, traveling, soaking up the Florida sun, or enjoying her favorite Mexican food.
